Recently, the crucial question for many businesses is, what attracts and what do people go for? Are they famous DJs, celebrities or the concept of the event? I have talked to many partners on this topic and it will be better if we discuss it a little.
Famous domestic DJs
Since they already have a name on the market, their prices also correspond to this and for businesses with a capacity of up to 200 people they are usually not very affordable. However, is this a guarantee of high attendance? It is definitely worth a try, because this way you can test how your visitors in the given area react to a given DJ and you can determine your next strategy accordingly. Be careful, a famous DJ does not always mean a full business, since the price of a ticket to a given event is usually higher, but that is a matter of preference and prestige of the business.
Concepts
One of the most used models for parties. Let’s give a few examples. Ibiza night, Oldies night, Latino night. It’s usually not about DJs, if they are not represented in this concept, it’s an event that tells people what style or type of event it is. Latino should be about Latin music or atmosphere, Ibiza about music that is currently being played in Ibiza. Concepts have the advantage that they are not built directly on the name of the DJ and are usually the cheaper option for a business. A high-quality and well-executed event concept is a great advantage for a business.
But there are also concepts that are more expensive than celebrities and well-known domestic DJs, and when it comes to a global concept such as club MTV or Cream tours, these evenings are usually associated with a foreign star who is part of the event or you pay mainly for the brand, just like for example for an Apple phone.
Please do not confuse the event concept that I have just described with the Chupito for 10 CZK event, it has nothing to do with the event and avoid these events if possible. They will bring people to your venue who can be more work than fun 🙂

And there are also Celebrities
Definitely a great draw for the general public and a certain guarantee of attendance, but you also need to see the fact that a celebrity usually costs much more than a well-known domestic DJ and is usually only present and does not create additional value, such as a performance, DJ set, etc. Beware of celebrities who pose as DJs. Consider very carefully how you will present the person, as this can also affect the attendance of your event.
Have a great day and lots of great events at your venue.
